Dr. Thompson’s Mentoring Tip for the Week 11/26/2012

Hi Dr. Thompson,

I really enjoyed your presentations at the NAAAS and affiliates conference. Even though your journal entries are geared toward faculty becoming tenured, these encouraging words are helping me with the process of getting through my dissertation as well as dealing with difficult colleagues in my work environment. I really love this song and find myself playing it on my phone to get through my difficult days at work. I tell myself that my job is only temporary and therefore if I hurry up and take care of business (finish my dissertation), then this job will be a distant memory. I thank God for allowing me to cross paths with you and I wish you many blessings and continued success in your field.
